For more than 125 years, Manoir Hovey has belonged to the landscape of Lake Massawippi. The lake at our doorstep. The surrounding forests and gardens. The farms, artisans and producers whose work finds its way to our tables. And the generations of people who have cared for this place. They are not simply part of our setting. They are part of who we are.
Our approach to sustainability begins with a simple conviction: hospitality should give more to a place than it takes from it. That means protecting the natural world, supporting our communities, preserving regional traditions and continually reconsidering how we use the resources entrusted to us.
As a member of Relais & Châteaux, Manoir Hovey embraces its 12 commitments to sustainability, developed in partnership with UNESCO: a vision of hospitality rooted in respect for nature, culture, communities and future generations. Sustainability is an ongoing responsibility—to measure our impact and keep finding better ways forward.
