Le Spa Manoir Hovey
Your Wellness Journey
Between forest and lake, on the shores of Lake Massawippi, our spa invites a profound reconnection with nature. Centuries-old pines frame shimmering waters, in a setting where the boundary between indoors and out dissolves naturally.
Conceived as a dialogue with the elements, the thermal experience unfolds as a ritual of warmth, stillness, and restoration. Here, nature is not a backdrop, but an active force in well-being—restoring both body and mind.
Thermal Experience
Awaken your senses with a Nordic spa experience shaped by Québec’s four distinct seasons. Our immersive thermal circuit unfolds through a ritual of heat, cold, and rest, featuring a year-round heated outdoor pool, hot tubs, a cedar dry sauna, an aromatic steam room, and an refreshing cold plunge.
Move seamlessly from warm water to crisp open air, from sunlit decks to the serene shores of Lake Massawippi. Between cycles, retreat to luminous relaxation rooms where expansive windows frame pine forests and shimmering lake views. Here, time slows, breath deepens, and the quiet interplay of warmth, fresh air, and stillness restores both body and spirit.
The Thermal Cycle
The thermal cycle is the foundation of the Nordic spa ritual—an elegant choreography of heat, cold, and rest designed to restore balance, awaken the senses, and quiet the mind.
Year-round lakeside pool
Open and heated year-round, our lakeside pool offers uninterrupted panoramic views of the lake in every season. Set right at the water’s edge, it’s a calm, inviting place to enjoy the warmth and the landscape.
Body care
Each treatment is conceived as a carefully tailored ritual. Massage or facial, our experienced therapists deliver attentive, personalized care using premium, socially responsible products—chosen for their performance and their respect for both people and planet.
Stories told through art
Wellness is inseparable from place. Deeply connected to the region, nature, and community, the space is enriched by works from Québec artists Yechel Gagnon and Marc Samson, whose creations echo the surrounding landscape. Through local art and thoughtful design, the spa becomes a quiet expression of the land, the people, and the spirit that shape it.
Created especially for the opening of the spa, the portrait of Elizabeth Taylor—titled Brave—is an emblematic work born of a collaboration between Melissa Provencher, Hilary Webster, and artist Marc Samson. Through signatures, personal symbols, and inspiring quotations, the artwork celebrates the creativity, intuition, and feminine strength that guided the project. Far more than a decorative piece, the painting embodies the soul of the spa: a place of balance, beauty, and inner power.
Sustainability
Sustainability is expressed with intention and restraint. Every choice—from materials and energy use to the selection of products and partners—is guided by respect for the land and its resources. By favoring responsible practices, local artisans, and carefully chosen suppliers, we cultivate a form of wellness that endures. A quiet, considered approach rooted in the surrounding nature, preserving this place for today and for generations to come.
Certifications
Our spa is proud to hold certifications that reflect the highest standards of quality, professionalism, and guest care. Certified Spa Excellence Québec by the Association québécoise des spas, this distinction attests to rigorous criteria in service quality, safety, sustainability, and operational excellence. We are also recognized by Leading Spas of Canada, a national benchmark that evaluates spas through independent audits and continuous quality assurance.
Melissa Provencher
Guided by a thoughtful and grounded approach to wellness, Melissa leads the spa with care, intention, and genuine attentiveness. She works closely with a team of skilled practitioners, upholding high standards while honoring the natural environment that surrounds us—so that every visit feels deeply restorative, unhurried, and meaningful.
“True wellness is not about excess, but about intention—creating space for the body to reset and the mind to slow, in harmony with the place around us.”
